Foundry was started in 2022 to democratize and massively expand access to immersive development. Daniel Sisson and Justin Barnett teamed up to create a software company, VR developer community, and boutique game dev studio – all centered on the VR developer.
We quickly brought in third founder, Eli Knisley, for his deep dev experience in building XR engines.
We exist to make the lives of VR developers easier through our foundational software product Foundry, and we assist companies to dive into immersive that don’t have a team.
Our primary focus is on building our open source, multiplayer spatial computing platform for Unity – Foundry, though we also are cultivating community and work on projects with cool clients.
Each of the founders, our employees, contractors and partners bring a unique perspective on XR development and a unique background from Silicon Valley venture backed startups to AAA studio game dev experience.
We’ve worked with companies from Global Fortune 10 sized companies to small studios and university research labs and everything in between.
